Biblical Prayers
Matt 6:9-13
Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your Kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Given us this day our daily bread.
And forgive our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
Bur deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.
Jesus gave us a guideline for prayer. It's based on relationship with our eternal father and understanding He is worthy of our love and adoration. It is His kingdom we await. It is His
will, not ours that we surrender to. We ask for provision that He already knows we need and will supply. We ask for forgiveness but we must forgive others to gain it. We ask for protection
He graciously supplies. But we acknowledge all things come from Him because He is the source of all life.
It is a prayer of faith born out of love and trust for our Heavenly Father.
We model the Words given us by Jesus Christ, but it is a matter of His heart we need to study.
If we know Him, we should be like Him. The love for our Father is the motivating force behind all we do in this life and this world. This is the Light we shine for all to see.
So Brothers and Sisters, let your light shine. This world is in dire need for your light, which is His light. Pray always and walk as Jesus walks and pray as He prays.
